Another book on my shelf in Europeana

I just found another book from my shelves in Europeana: The adventures of Telemachus, son of Ulysses, by the Bishop of Cambray. I have the fourteenth edition of 1735, bound in two volumes; the original is from 1728:

The Adventures Of Telemachus, The Son of Ulysses : In Twenty-four Books. With the Adventures of Aristonous. Writen by the Archbishop of Cambray. Done into English from the last Paris (which is the only genuine) Edition, By Mr. Is. Littlebury and Mr. A. Boyer...

I once came across this book in an antiquarian bookshop in London and could not resist the temptation of owning a book from the early eighteenth century. Usually the high price of truly old books helps to resist the pull, but this was very reasonable 🙂
