cease fire: Miners’ strike, Brest-Litovsk

On the 3rd of March –

the great British Miners’ strike of 1984/85 ends withe a NUM-vote. They had not reached a settlement with the mine owners and the government. People in the mining areas still hate Margaret Thatcher with a vengeance.

The peace treaty of Brest-Litovsk is signed in 1918, ending the Russian and Ukranian involvement in World War I.
