World Day for Safety and Health at Work

On the 28th of April –

It is the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. Although a subject of many jokes about tightrope walkers that have to stay on the ground, signs that warn against walking into the sign itself and such, it is a very serious subject. Work-related accidents and diseases claim thousands of lives every year.
In the Europeana office the most dangerous situation I can imagine is being in meetings too long and straining your jaw or vocal cords from too much talking. Or perhaps RSI from being on the computer too long. But we have been lucky so far, and work hard to stay that way.
