Smetana’s Libuše opens National Theatre in Prague

On the 11th of June –

In 1881 Smetana’s opera Libuše was first performed at the opening of the National Theatre in Prague. It was also used to re-open the Theatre in 1883 after the original one had been destroyed by fire:
