O.J. Simpson and the white Bronco

On the 17th of June –

The famous Car Chase of O.J. Simpson in his white Bronco takes place in 1994. The police want to question him regarding the violent deaths of his ex-wife and her lover. Rather than talking to the police, OJ decides to make a run for it. The chase is aired live during the NBA Finals, making it the most-viewed true-crime live-coverage until the 2001 attack on the Twin Towers. OJ was later aqcuitted in criminal court, but held responsible for both deaths in a civil lawsuit. Some years later he committed an armed robbery, trying to steal sports memorabilia at gunpoint. He is now serving a 33-year sentence for that.
