Venus of Willendorf

On the 7th of August –

The ‘Venus of Willendorf‘ was discovered at the epynomous village in Austria. The sculpture is around 25.000 years old, and that makes it one of the oldest figurative object ever found in Europe.
Here is an image of a plaster cast, held at the hairdressers museum in Eckernförde. We’ve had a surprising find from that Museum before.
