Think Different – Dutch Version

A Dutch TV show (De Wereld Draait Door) created a Dutch version of the Apples ‘Think Different‘ comemrcial. I showed the people featured in the original commercial in Europeana in an earlier blog post.

For the Dutch version they started with an initial list made by the show’s editors (?), and then allowing minor celebrities (no offense) to replace the initial choices with others in a number of daily shows in the week of 10-14 October.
This is the result:

Most of the people featured (or their work) can be found in Europeana:
Hendrik Lorentz, Van Kooten en De Bie, Pim Fortuyn, Ramses Shaffy,
Albert Heyn, Jan Cremer, Freek de Jonge, Johan Cruyff,
Joop van den Ende, Annie M.G. Schmidt, Bishop Bekkers, Queen Wilhelmina,
Albert Mol, Willem Kolff, Theo van Gogh, Wim T. Schippers,
Karel Appel

I could not find Willem Kolff, so I linked to his wikipedia page instead. There are some references in Europeana to hemodialysis, his main invention. The image is from ClevelandMemory.org
For Pim Fortuyn the link goes to a French documentary about political assassinations. I’ve substituted the image with a CC-0 wikimedia commons one.
